Hey! I'm Matthew Williams, none other than Canada himself! People have referred to me as Hero or just plain ol' Matt (Not Mattie!) too though, so you're also welcome to call me that!

Feel free to stop by and complement me and whatnot, I AM a hero after all, even more so than Alfred!

((Independent RP Blog for Hero!Canada, meaning he'll be acting pretty much like Alfred.))

Hero loudly hummed a pleased tune to himself (that sounded suspiciously like the song that he had played loudly on his boombox), batting on his steering wheel in time with the the notes. He only cast a cheeky glance towards Cana, not bothering to answer the other’s questions, only continuing confidently along his drive, repeating the song’s tune over, as if he had it stuck in his head. He tilted his head, pulling into a familiar parking lot and swerving into the nearest open parking spot, quickly hopping out of the car, car door still open, and giving Cana no chance to react before he threw his hands up in the air, and shouting “Books!” Triumph was in his voice, as if he had just managed to do an amazing magic trick, one could practically hear the ‘tadaaaa!’ in the background. Gaze directly on the bookstore ahead of them, before looking down at Cana, Hero’s grin continuing to grow with pride, “You like ‘em right? We’re gonna get some.”

He stood confused before responding with a warm smile. The sight of his boyfriend being childishly excited over his reaction made it grow even more. “I don’t know about buying one, but looking seems wonderful!”. They walked in together, Cana shyly holding Hero’s hand with a subtle blush. He quickly looked in the parts he visited often, finding no new books that seemed interesting. This continued on until he stumbled upon a pile of books that seemed unloved. He read the back of one, and quickly flipped it over to read. He read until chapter two when Hero came back from his own search, unintentionally breaking Cana’s trance. “I-I just can’t put it down,” he spoke with an awkward laugh.

A grin spread across Hero’s face as Cana took his hand in his, holding onto the other’s hand, giving a gentle squeeze of his own before the other disappeared to search through books. Hero passed the time by looking through his own favourite sections, though decided he wasn’t really shopping for himself, and went in search for the other again, accidentally stumbling across Cana between places he’d thought his boyfriend would be at. He tilted his head as the other explained, before letting a smile cross his face, “Great! I’ll buy it for ya then!” Hero didn’t waste a second before snatching it out of the other’s grip, skimming over the back cover and tucking it under his arm, grinning at the other, “Completely on me and you can’t do anything about it~”

Hero gave a large, proud grin, watching as his godlike stick figures were held onto the fridge with a single magnet. Turning his pleased gaze from the picture to Cana, thought’s still focused on gloating about his amazing art talent, “Oh, right!” He grinned, grabbing the other’s hand and tugging him along behind, glancing behind himself at the other as he spoke, as he lead the both of them out the front door, “We’re going out, of course!” Only letting go of the other’s hand as they reached the car, hopping in himself, “It’s a surprise.”

He shook his head in a disapproving way, not enjoying car rides and car rides not enjoying him. He stepped inside and buckled himself in, kissing Hero on the cheek before he started the car. Cana watched the world move as the car was pulled out onto the road, somewhat amused by the nature of things and putting a deeper meaning into his existence that one shouldn’t for a car ride. He tried to recognize the area, only remembering the walks to the bookstore. “We are….somewhere near main street?” He was horrible with street names, but until he mastered the map of the city he will win this date-location-guessing-game by explaining the area his way. He pouted at his boyfriends grin-filled silence. “Main headed towards my work?” God he hated it when Hero was an ass and wouldn’t answer his guesses, especially when he has a ‘movie night surprize’ and it turned out to be the pussy remake of Battle Royale…which was two nights ago actually.

Letting out a pout as Cana slammed the window shut, Hero turned off his boombox, only to break out in another series of snickers, most of them in self pride, the rest from Cana’s expected reaction. He quickly tossed the boombox in the back seat, snatching the flowers that were already laying there, before hurrying over towards the other’s door, quickly beginning his repeated knocking on it, holding the flowers behind his back. He put on a more formal, polite expression as his boyfriend opened the door, though it was obvious he was trying to keep from breaking out in a full out grin, holding out the flowers, confidently and absolutely stating, “I have a plan B.” He glanced at them, before back up at Cana, “Er… These weren’t part of it. But I couldn’t let them go to waste.”

After giving a bewildered stare, Cana began to laugh. It was a wonder how he could suspect these things to happen, yet still be surprized when it does. He took the flowers from Hero before reading the card, “Roses are red, violets are blue” he gave an amused look at his boyfriend. “These smell nice, just like you,” he started to snicker near the end. “I think this is going on the fridge.” he grinned, waving the card as he filled a vase with water. After placing the flowers into the vase, and sticking the prime of an artists envy onto the fridge, he turned towards Hero with a smile. “So, where are we going again?”

Pulling up to the other’s driveway, Matt gave a mischievously large grin, quickly hopping out of his car, dragging out his old boombox with him. He gave a light snicker,  a little-too over dramatic in trying to be stealthy, on his tip toes, crouched and all, as he made his way towards the others window. Trying to keep his light snickers down as he set the boombox on the ground, wiping off a bit of imaginary dust on it. Pressing down the play button, he picked the machine back up, resting it on his shoulder as the familiar tune of ‘Take My Breath Away’ began to fill the air, his grin growing wider and wider by the second.

Letting out a startled shriek, he fell out of his chair in a confused flurry of limbs. He opened the window, only to find his boyfriend holding a boombox, the obvious source of the commotion. “Will you turn that off before the neighbours call the police!” He shouted. Hero has done things like this before and even the police are tired of it. “I’m only trying to set the mood!” He closed his window at the reply, racing down the stairs before he— to stop the attack of his door.

Letting out a pout as Cana slammed the window shut, Hero turned off his boombox, only to break out in another series of snickers, most of them in self pride, the rest from Cana’s expected reaction.      Matthew never understood dates. They were just a fancy term for couples to ‘hang out’, and he spends his days with different people all the time! Does this make him a cheater? No! Until the day he finds out the major differences between dates and ‘hanging out’, the importance of a date will endlessly confuse him. Yet here he was looking outside his window every 5 or so minutes, dressed in a subtly more fancy than usual attire, waiting for his boyfriend to arrive for this confusing thing called a date.
